At beautiful Surrey Hills - Stanley Terrace childcare Centre, we provide high-quality education and childcare for children aged six weeks to six years old. Our Reggio Emilia inspired curriculum promotes exploration and curiosity, creating a strong foundation for lifelong learning. To ensure each child's individual needs are met, our experienced Educators work closely with families, and we offer an integrated Government-funded Kindergarten program to prepare children for the next steps in their education journey.

Centre Highlights
Conveniently located off Canterbury road and walking distance from the Surrey Hills Train Station (and plenty of shops!), you’ll find our beautiful early learning Centre. Our Centre is purpose-built with nine rooms, a state-of-the-art kitchen, landscaped outdoor play areas, interactive learning spaces and a central piazza for collaboration with children from across the Centre.

Our team of dedicated Educators provide thoughtful education and care, creating unique learning experiences throughout the day.

Curriculum
Our curriculum and environments are rooted in the Reggio Emilia approach, while also aligning with the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF) and the National Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
Our educational programs are tailored to meet the unique needs, interests, strengths, and developmental levels of each child. Additionally, we offer a government-funded Kindergarten program for three- and four-year-old children, taught by bachelor qualified Early Childhood Teachers.

Children have access to large outdoor play areas that are designed specifically for each age group.
Our Educators create intentional learning experiences in both indoor and outdoor environments to encourage children to explore and learn through play.
Enrichment Program
We’re pleased to offer an exciting extracurricular program for your Explorers called the Enrichment Program.
Our sector-leading Enrichment Program has been created to enhance the joy of learning and your children’s experience at Explorers.
All children are welcome to participate in this program at no additional cost to our families.

Team Gumnut is the best!!
when she was just 10 months old, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. The transition was incredibly smooth, thanks to the lovely and attentive educators in her room. Charma , Jenny and Jess have been looking after our little one amazingly I can’t thank them enough. It’s heartwarming to see our daughter so happy and excited to be at the center—she eagerly waves goodbye to us in the morning and doesn't want to leave when we pick her up! All the other team members are just as amazing. Highly recommend this wonderful center!
From being a tiny baby to a chaotic toddler, the educators have not only created a wonderful relationship with the children but with the parents too. We love pick ups and drop offs where we have a quick catch up with the teachers. Our child has loved all the educators across classes but a special shout out to our family’s favourite legends Caren, Chama, Amy and Deep.
The centre does some pretty cool enrichment programs, like nature based learning, dance/music, sports and language. They are amazing at providing updates of the day, as well as some cute pictures/ videos of special moments (ie: dancing in the music class) - and it’s so great to have a little peek into the great day your kids are having with their friends.
The centre has created a great community and we’ve become friends with a lot of parents within our child’s class and across some of the other age groups.
10/10 - this centre is amazing, not just because its gourmet menu/ creative and joy-filled room decor/ proximity to train station/ parent communication apps/ enrichment programs and excursions but wholeheartedly because of the warm and caring people that work in each class, kitchen and management.
