Brighton East

Brighton East

Light filled, with a sense of 'home'

Detailed attention has been placed on planning each indoor and outdoor space at our centre, with a focus on nature and sustainability. Our centre has been designed to stimulate children’s creativity, exploration and sense of belonging.

  • Two indoor art piazzas
  • A large communal dining room and kitchen
  • Designated sleep rooms for babies
  • Natural landscaping, materials and lots of natural light
  • An underground car park for families
  • Rooms dedicated to the learning and development of each age
  • Extensive outdoor play areas including mud pits, community garden, cubby houses, sensory gardens, climbing equipment and sandpits

Our children are given the opportunity to play outdoors in large yards designated to each age group. We have community gardens, messy play areas, cubby houses, climbing equipment, sensory gardens, teepees and much more.

At Explorers, we like to give our children EXTRA! That’s why our Extras Program has been created to enhance the children’s experience and provide opportunities for learning in specialised areas. All children are welcome to participate in this program at no additional cost.

These programs include Gardening & Sustainability, Creative Arts, Music & Movement, French and Speech Therapy.

Our child initiated, play based program stimulates children’s learning, exploration and social connections.

Children are seen as active participants in creating their own learning environment within a safe indoor/outdoor program that fosters their well-being and development.

The Brighton East Kindergarten program is taught by our passionate Kindergarten Teacher, Amy.

This program (for 3 and 4 year olds) uses a play based approach that emphasises learning through exploration and investigation. The program encourages children to be creative in all areas, whether it is problem solving or the expressive arts. It also encourages lateral thinking and positive social interactions.

Our program runs within long day care hours.
