Our Centre is expected to open in January 2020
We are excited that Explorers Williamstown is planned to open January 2020. This is pending service approval by the Department of Education. Follow us on Facebook for construction updates.
Detailed attention has been placed on planning each indoor and outdoor space at our centre, with a focus on nature and sustainability. Our centre has been designed to stimulate children’s creativity, exploration and sense of belonging.
Explorers are very excited to announce the purchase of the old Williamstown RSL property to build a new state of the art early learning centre. We recognise the history of the Williamstown RSL and its role in honouring and supporting servicemen and women over the last 98 years. A memorial will be built on the property to pay tribute to the previous institution and its WWI servicemen.
Our children are given the opportunity to play outdoors in large yards designated to each age group. We will have community gardens, pet enclosures, worm farms, compost, sand pits, mud play areas and much more
At Explorers, we like to give our children EXTRA! That’s why our Extras Program has been created to enhance the children’s experience and provide opportunities for learning in specialised areas. All children are welcome to participate in this program at no additional cost.
These programs include Gardening & Sustainability, Creative Arts, Music & Movement, French and Speech Therapy.
Our child initiated, play based program stimulates children’s learning, exploration and social connections.
Our Kindergarten program (for 3 and 4 year olds) uses a play based approach that emphasises learning through exploration and investigation. The program encourages children to be creative in all areas, whether it is problem solving or the expressive arts. It also encourages lateral thinking and positive social interactions.
Our program will run within long day care hours.
