Our centre is expected to open in July 2018
Detailed attention has been placed on planning each indoor and outdoor space at our centre, with a focus on nature and sustainability. Our centre has been designed to stimulate children’s creativity, exploration and sense of belonging.
Explorers Surrey Hills will boast many great features, play spaces and amenities. Some of these include:
- Rooftop gardens and vegetable patch
- Offstreet parking
- Close proximity to the train station and public transport.
- Designated sleeping rooms for babies
- Outdoor landscaped play spaces on each level (3 levels)
- Natural and Reggio Emilia inspired resources and learning environments
- Classrooms dedicated to each age group
- Secure pram storage
Our children are given the opportunity to play outdoors in large yards for each age group. We will have community gardens, sand pits, mud play areas and much more.
We are proud to offer additional complimentary educational programs taught by specialist teachers that all children enrolled at the centre have the opportunity to participate in.
These programs include Gardening & Sustainability, Music & Movement, French and Speech Therapy.
Our child initiated, play based program stimulates children’s learning, exploration and social connections.
Our Kindergarten program (for 3 and 4 year olds) uses a play based approach that emphasises learning through exploration and investigation. The program encourages children to be creative in all areas, whether it is problem solving or the expressive arts. It also encourages lateral thinking and positive social interactions.
Our program will run within long day care hours.
